Ok people here we go, some more answers to your questions, proudly brought to you by T Neil van Rooyen. π
Kingsley asked these questions:
When were you diagnosed with cancer?
After much digging through my paper work I eventually found the appointment slip of the day I was diagnosed. It wasn’t your usual day, as you might expect. π I had an appointment to see a Dermatologist as I had a rash on my skin. Its been there for ages and didn’t really worry me. How ever the doctors wanted to make sure it wasn’t part of what was making me ill. The week before this appointment is when I had my needle biopsy to take a sample of one of the lumps in my neck. Now I hadn’t heard anything back from the “Needle People” as yet so the Dermatologist offered to find out what she can while I was there. Sure enough the results were there so she was the first person to tell me that I had cancer. This was on Friday 27th of May 2016.Β There is a bit more to this story but I’ll save that for next time as it answers quite a few different people’s question. π
One more, Kingsley also wanted to know:
Have you been given a time frame?
Not really in a direct sense, the Hematologist did tell me that if I did nothing I would have less than two to three years. But in the same breath she also told me that if I took the chemotherapy I should be healed after six or so months. This was at my first visit, when I was still totally against getting chemotherapy. So I felt she might be trying to convince me. Afterwards I found out that she was just being nice. π
I think that is enough for one post, there are many more questions to be answered, so don’t forget to come back and read all about it. π
Stay Awesome.
Positively, T Neil van Rooyen.
