Day 2 after chemo.
I woke up this morning and felt really good, pretty much the same as yesterday, so I’m very pleased about that. Had a productive morning, got some stuff sorted out that needed doing. Had a quiet afternoon which included a nap. Ha, the nap turned into more of a sleep, woke up in the wrong part of my sleep cycle so this evening has been a bit off color. Note to self: Set alarm. Also seem a bit constipated which is one of the side affects of one of the anti nausea tablets that I take. So I’m using Epson salts to sort that out rather than taking more tablets. Between that and awkward sleep, tonight has been not as colorful as this morning, however I still managed to get two posts written and published. Not all bad then, rather good in fact. π
I have noticed the lumps on the right side of my neck and head, just in front of my ear, have gone down dramatically and have stopped hurting. Also really pleased about that, makes sleeping a whole lot easier. πΒ No other updates really, I haven’t noticed any other side effects. Awesomeness.
Tomorrow is day three, the last day of most of the tablets till the next treatment. Day four my be difficult coming off the tablets, apparently I could feel quite lethargic. I guess I’ll just take it easy on that day. Either way I’ll still keep posting and keep you all up to date. π
Stay Awesome
Positively T Neil van Rooyen.
I’ve been reading some of these to the children – it is really helping them understand. Thanks for doing this blog.
PS: lumps disappearing already? That’s AMAZING.
SO glad you are doing so well and also glad that you are staying with us for a few days, would not have been nice for me if I could not keep an eye on you! And Yes! I’m your mother, its my job! No matter how old you are! lol Seeing that its still raining, we’ll just have a blob day today, although a walk would have been beneficial! Maybe later this afternoon, if it stops raining! Hou die blink kant bo!
Yay for the reduction in lumps, hope you sleep well tonight.
So awesome to hear you so positive. Enjoying reading your blogs
Hello Neil sounds like you are the nurse pet with your large gutsy veins. Good for you, keep that beak ( penguin) of yours up and positive . Thinking of you.
So great to hear how fast your body is responding and also that you’re allowing yourself to rest! I read yesterday an awesome quote by Dr Caroline Leaf that explained how rest increases gamma waves in the brain which increases positivity, peace and happiness. She reminded us to “be still and know that He is God”. I think illness is often one of the most incredible ways we can discover an internal strength, resilience and life perspective.. And although I wish you weren’t going through it, and pray you beat this FAST, I already see how the true YOU is coming through.
Praying you rest rest rest and kick those bad boys butts!!! Listen to your mama and let her look after you… Mums know best βΊοΈ
Thank you Fleur, there sure is a lot of discovery going on here. π
